… and a special greeting to those visiting our school website for the first time! We are proud of our Catholic spirituality and the academic excellence that we have worked to achieve for over 50 years and invite you to become a part of our community.

Established in 1956, St. James the Greater Catholic School serves a diverse community of faith located in south Oklahoma City. Ministering to families with children in Pre-school (Age 3) through Grade 8, our mission is to proclaim the gospel message, to strive for academic excellence, and to educate children for service. We are very pleased that we now serve our third generation of children with St. James roots!

The fundamental goal of St. James the Greater is to assist families in developing values, so that the children may apply Christian principles to all facets of their lives. Coupled with academic excellence, our children are challenged to reach their full potential.

The administration, faculty, and staff of St. James are committed to providing a positive educational and spiritual environment for your child. In addition to academic studies and Christian values, we strive to instill in each child a sense of responsibility, mutual respect, and self-esteem.

We are fully accredited by the Oklahoma Private School Accrediting Commission (OPSAC) through the Department of Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and the State of Oklahoma and are also a proud member of the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA).
